The Province works closely with its subordinate councils and other Provinces, providing a central focus for the coordination of various projects, its members are active participants in their local councils parishes.

Promotion to the rank of a Provincial Officer is both a great honour and a large responsibility. Provincial Officers will usually fulfil both their local Council responsibilites and the wider role of their Provincial post. They can be very busy people!

East Anglia was a part of the Dioceses of Northampton until 2 June 1976 when it became a diocese in its own right under the leadership of Bishop Alan Clarke who was installed as the first Bishop of East Anglia. The Province of East Anglia was split from the Province of Northampton a few years earlier but Province 27 was renamed East Anglia and Northampton was given a new number of Province 38.
